After four fantastic days of Cheltenham attentions now turn to Uttoxeter, Navan and Kempton. The Champ.ie #8PointstoPlay tipping blog currently sits 16.57 points in profit for the National Hunt season (19/20).
Barry Doyle (champ.ie), Colm Finlay (BetXS), Ronan Groome (The Irish Field), Andrew Blair White (Blair White’s Blog), Thomas Coyle (Trainer), Jason Kiely (Sporting Life), Alan Doyle (Aldorithm) & The Rooster go at it again.

2.55 Navan – Sixshooter (8/1) 4pt ew
If you told me back in October this year Sixshooter was going to be running in the second week of March, my question would have been which Grade 1 novice hurdle did he run at Cheltenham. Things haven’t quite worked out as planned for this horse so Noel has given him some time off and I’m hoping he’s found something in the meantime.
I don’t think this horse is a world-beater or that this is a regeneration attempt to bring him back to a career at the top table, but I think he should be good enough for a contest like this. He is also getting 7lb jockeys allowance to help. Noel Meade had a small and poor representation at Cheltenham. Mullins, Elliot & co were away in the champions league midweek. Think of Navan & Noel Meade is like going to the Bet365 to play stoke the following weekend. Home advantage!

3.35 Uttoxeter – Dominatuer (14/1) 4pt ew
An unexposed Novice who has always shaped as if this sort of test of stamina could be right up his street. Having won two back to back staying Handicaps – he was 4th in the Towton at Wetherby last time after making a race ending mistake at a key time. Jumping could be an issue but I’m willing to take the chance that he’s ahead of the handicapper and will relish this extreme test.

2.20 Navan – Harvest Bow (8/1) 1pt ew
She had a boodles entry this year gets the allowances as a 4yo could run well off a lightweight.
2.55 Navan – Sixshooter (8/1) 1 pt ew
Navan started career off well but the wheels have slightly come off in last 2 runs sights lowered a bit her and is well weighted when riders claim taken into account has been freshened up is of interest at a price in this.
4.40 Navan – Conright Boy (2/1) 4pt win
Weighted to turn it around with the favourite and deserves to win one of these for this seasons running.
Please note: A quick mention for a mare I run tomorrow the mighty molly the court cave mare goes well but it’s been hard to get her away on grass as everywhere has been so wet it looks a very decent bumper but we hope she can give a good account of herself and set herself up for a bright future.

2.05 Kempton– Eden De Houx (9/1) 2pt ew
Should love the ground and still remains pretty unexposed, I’ve been following this horse and hopefully around here it might suit him.
3.35 Uttoxeter – Prime Venture (9/1) 2pt ew
Evan Williams loves this type of race and this has surely been the target for this fella. His 4th in the Welsh national reads well, but you have to question his attitude. I’m hoping the blinkers first time out will work in what looks a fairly open race.
Barry Doyle #8PointstoPlay score: -4.37pts
2.05 Kempton – McFabulous (5/2) 4pt win
My eyes were firmly fixed on McFabulous for the Martin Pipe / Coral Cup off a mark of 132. A three time bumper winner, including the Grade Two at Aintree suggests there should be much more to comes over hurdles.
McFabulous looks your typical son of Milan and will certainly make a lovely chaser next season. Expect him to exploit his current hurdles mark today.
3.35 Kempton – Capatin Drake (9/1) 2pt ew
Came for strong support 28 days ago at Ascot before unseating. Captain Drake is a strong individual and is generally consistent with his jumping. Two from two on heavy ground bodes well for today and he rates only three pounds higher over fences than he is over hurdles. Brian Carver takes five pounds off. Should be in the mix up!
The Rooster #8PointstoPlay score: -56pts
2.25 Uttoxeter – Sams Adventure (9/2) 8pt win
Maiden over fences but encouraging run on latest outing. Solid claims.
Ronan Groome #8PointstoPlay score: -67.37pts
2.05 Kempton – Hurricane Harvey (10/1) 4pt win
Lightly raced 6yo makes handicap debut and could be very well treated on the form of precious novice hurdle win – both second and third won since. Course, distance and ground should suit.
3.35 Uttoxeter – Petite Power (5/1) 4pt win
Had a great season, progressing in staying chases and another good effort latest in Classic Chase. Freshened up since and every chance he can put up another big performance in here.
