2:05 Kempton – Frodon (13/8) 8pt win

Bryony Frost has been in decent form of late and can bang in another Saturday winner on her old favourite Frodon. The Ryanair winner is officially rated 7Ibs higher than race favourite Top Notch and should step forward from his run in the Betfair Chase. Back to 2m 4f on a track where he’s won before. He looks like clear value to me at 13/8!

2:40 Kempton – Tight Call (8/1)  2pt ew

6 of the last 10 winners of Lanzarote Handicap Hurdle have been aged 6 which automatically drew my eyes to Tim Vaughan’s Mahler horse, Tight Call. Once trained in Co. Waterford by John Joseph McGrath before transferring and winning three times last season for Vaughan. Tight Call looks a straight forward individual who may have been saved for something like this. Up in trip a furlong with the tongue strap applied for the first time, he could prove alot better than his mark of 119.

2:10 Fairyhouse – Kildorrery (10/1)  1pt win

Not the most straight forward individual it seems but still looks well treated to me off his current chase mark of 133. Will have to bounce back from a heavy fall over C&D in November in a race where there was lots of late market support. A strong pace will be guaranteed which should allow Kildorrery to settle and give a proper account!

2:05 Kempton – Frodon (13/8) 2pt win

Should be disputing favouritism in my book. Don’t read too much into Haydock over 3m,  where he ran ok in snatches against a superstar (lostintranslation) & Bristol De Mai who was on his home patch. Back in trip with Bryony driving him into fences will make him hard to beat if on song! He’s a better animal than Top Notch.

2:35 Warwick – Harry Senior (11/4) 1pt win

I couldn’t believe it when I saw Harry Senior was priced up at 5/1 midweek. Colin Tizzard’s 6yo son of Oscar clearly has the best form in the book finishing close second to talents such as Edwardstone & Sporting John this season. Harry Senior seemed to appreciate a step up to 2m 3f at Chepstow last time and should enjoy a further hike today. Great jumper and seems to be improving.

12:20 Kempton- Fraser Island (4/5) 8pt win

Looked to have a lot in hand when running in a juvenile hurdle in Newbury before Christmas. The danger is clearly Lord Lamington who has a similar profile coming from the flat but Fraser Island was impressive enough to suggest there is more to come from this this youngster.

Ronan GroomeRonan Groome #8PointstoPlay score : – 14.37pts

2:10 Fairyhouse – Arvico Bleu (11/2) 2 pt win

Nearly every single run of this eight-year-old last season suggests he is well handicapped for this valuable race, not least his most recent start at Thurles. There he was upsides Ex Patriot, now rated 146, when he fell at the last. Off a mark of 133, he looks the best handicapped horse in this race by some distance and with a reasonable record fresh, he looks sure to play a big role.

2:25 Warwick – Decor Irlandais (11/2) 2 pt win
This seven-year-old was easy to back last night but perhaps that isn’t a surprise as he travels over from Noel Kelly’s Derry base. You can’t argue with the way he won his previous race at Catterick, where he absolutely laughed at a useful sort in Mercian Prince (takes his chance earlier on the Kempton card) and he is clear top rated here, yet only third best in the market.
2:40 Kempton – Echiquier (12/1) 2 pt win

Bombed last time but that was too bad to be true and on his form before that he is interesting here. Won first time for his new trainer at Hexham and then put up a big run to finish second in Grade 2 contest at Chepstow, finishing not too far away from both Thyme Hill and Fiddlerontheroof. That is strong novice hurdle form and suggests that he should get very competitive off a mark of 130.

3:00 Warwick – Petite Power (10/1) 2 pt win
Has looked really progressive since coming back from a 500+ day break, winning twice and then putting up a huge run to finish second over this sort of marathon distance at Exeter. Winner of that contest ran well in Sussex National last weekend and no reason why this 11-year-old can’t take another step forward with proven stamina to boot.

3:20 Fairyhouse – At The Acorn (9/2) 2pts win

Was a long way back early on in Leopardstown and stayed on well without troubling the leading bunch upped in trip here and Philip Enright back on board I’d be hoping for a big run out of this lad today.
2:10 Fairyhouse- Rock The World (33/1) 1pt ew

The former Grand Annual winner has slipped right down the weights and claiming another 7lbs off his back he has a very attractive weight if there is some spark left in the old boy he could run a big race here.
2.40 Kempton – Canyon City (40/1) 1pt ew

The ground might of been too soft the last time so I’ll take a chance on the better ground today bryony frost is back on board and has slipped down a few pounds he’s only now 2lbs higher than last win drop in trip might be the key aswel, he looks too big in price.
3.00 Warwick – Bobo Mac (8/1) 1pt ew

Had a couple of fancy entries and pops up here ran a good second to roll again last time up and was an easy winner the time before he had some good form in Ireland as a young horse so I’ll take a chance on him here.

2.10 Fairyhouse – Articulum (8/1) 1 pt Win

Terence O’Brien’s charge has been a model of consistency in these sort of Handicaps this year and I feel his turn is near to go and get the job done. He was well punted last time at Limerick to only fall at half-way. I feel this is still his ideal trip and a chance must be given to last year’s Arkle third.

3.20 Fairyhouse – At the Acorn (9/2) 2 pt Win

The jockey on this must have mistaken the horse for Douvan while sitting him out dead last at Leopardstown over Christmas with always far too much to do. He made some very eye-catching late gains into 6th and the form is already working out (3rd has won). A return to this trip should see him in better light and I’d ridden with a bit more positivity, must go close.

1.30 Kempton – Sammy Bill (15/8) 2 pt Win
Oliver Sherwood has a great way of getting his Novice Chasers to progress with time and this horse has gone from strength to strength since tackling the larger obstacles. The manner of his two wins have shaped as if they’re is bag loads of improvement left and I’d be very surprised if the 11 lbs hike from his last run was to effect him.

3.35 Warwick – Diomede Des Mottes (7/1) 1 pt Win

A horse for the Skelton team that has taken a while to get the hang of racing and has been gradually improving from run to run. He was badly hampered last time out so you can put a line through that run, and should have a chance here.

2.50 Wetherby – Big Bad Bear (2/1) 2 pt Win

A novice hurdler for Nicky Richards who has done nothing but improve this season with racing. He was won his last two quite impressively and brings a lot of potential to the table now going handicapping. He could be the unexposed one out of a field of exposed looking rivals
