Colm Finlay

Colm Finlay Profit & LossColumnist name: Colm Finlay   Location: Co. Meath

Fondest racing memory: Tingle Creek 2004

Colm has been involved in the betting industry for over 20 years. Having operated one of Ireland’s Largest Independent Bookmakers (Bambury Bookmakers) for much of the last decade, Colm has now revolutionized retail betting in Ireland with his all new, fully automated betting shop model (BetXS).

With automated betting shops located in Rathcoole, Kilbeggan & Ballivor, BetXS is non reliant of staffing and is kitted out with fully functional self service terminals with a remote control used to open and close business.

Colm has a particular passion for flat racing but ever since County Meath trainer Gordon Elliott has being flying the flag high for the Royals, Colm seems to find himself drifting back gradually towards the winter woolies attire and Navan Racecourse.

Colm will feature regularly on the national hunt podcast once again but will also come to the table this season with the entertaining Finlay’s Round-Up published every Sunday night, recapping on the weekend that was.
